At approximately three years of age children are ready for a wider environment, a broader social life and more intellectually stimulating experiences. This is the age, when, having come to know themselves as individuals, children begin to know others in their own right and not just as extensions of themselves.

In Carousel Kindergarten we cater for all aspects of each child's development linking with the National Curriculum framework for the Pre-School Child. These include intellectual growth, physical skills, language ability, creativity, socialisation and emotional well-being. By working round themes, the children can explore everyday topics like "myself", "my home" and "the shop" etc.

Individual play with sand and water, clay, puzzles, painting etc. will be backed up with group activities and experiences provided to give children the opportunity to learn informally through play.
